Brittany Worrall has proudly served with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office since 2017. She is currently assigned as the School Resource Officer for the Saydel School District, where she is passionate about fostering positive relationships with students, promoting school safety, and being a trusted resource for the community. Brittany also serves as the Board President of the Iowa School Resource Officers Association.

Kyle serves as the Board Vice President of the Iowa School Resource Officers Association.

Lucas Hauser is a seasoned School Resource Officer with the Carlisle Police Department, where he has served the Carlisle Community School District for six years. Lucas is dedicated to building trusted relationships with students and staff, supporting safety initiatives, and earning the NASRO Practitioner certification for school-focused law enforcement excellence. Lucas previously served as Board President for the Iowa Association of School Resource Officers (IASRO) and now continues to support the organization as Secretary and Treasurer.

Waylon Pollema dedicated over two decades to law enforcement with the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office in Iowa, serving from 2003 to 2024. In 2010, he became the agency’s first-ever School Resource Officer (SRO), a role he held until his retirement in 2024. During his tenure, he provided support and safety to as many as ten schools across Sioux County. In 2013, Waylon was recognized nationally for his outstanding service, receiving the Regional Exceptional Service Award at the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) Conference in Orlando, Florida, where he also achieved Practitioner status. He has been an active leader within the Iowa Association of School Resource Officers (IASRO), serving on the board of directors since 2013, including a four-year term as President. Following his retirement from law enforcement in July 2024, Waylon transitioned to a new role at Western Christian High School in Hull, Iowa—one of the schools he previously served as an SRO. He now serves as the Director of Campus Safety and Student Support, continuing his commitment to fostering a safe and supportive educational environment.

Blake Lauffer is a Juvenile Court Officer III with Iowa’s 5th Judicial District. Blake is active in community-focused initiatives, such as the “Lunch with the Law” and “Popsicles with the Police” where he engages directly with students as part of various outreach efforts. Blake has been serving as an IASRO Board Member since September 2023.

Hayley Vanderpool

Hayley Vanderpool is the Marketing & Member Events Coordinator at Serve Credit Union in Des Moines, Iowa. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, she launched the youth-focused Blue Shoe Box program and regularly leads creative initiatives and community outreach- especially financial literacy programs tailored for public-safety professionals. Hayley has been serving as an IASRO Board Member since 2022.

John Steddom is an experienced educational leader with nearly 40 years in Iowa Schools, he brings a strong commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and high-achieving school environment. John is currently the Associate Principal at Oskloosa Elementary School and has been serving as an IASRO Board Member since 2022.

Tom Daubs

Tom Daubs is a Regional Director for IASRO, representing the eastern third of the state. He began his law enforcement career with the Marion Police Department in 1995 and has served as the School Resource Officer for the Linn-Mar Community School District since 2013. In addition to his SRO duties, Tom teaches D.A.R.E. to sixth graders and is a familiar face at most Linn-Mar High School sporting events. His dedication to youth engagement and school safety continues to make a lasting impact in his community.
